Meet Our Fellows
Year 1 Fellows
Oriane Ezedine, MD
Oriane Ezedine was raised between Côte d’Ivoire, France, and Lebanon before moving to San Diego for her undergraduate studies. She pursued medical school in Brisbane, Australia, before completing her clinical experience in New Orleans, a city with which she developed a lasting connection due to its rich culture and history. During residency training in Louisiana, working with children and their families, trauma-informed care, cultural psychiatry, and emergency psychiatry became areas of interest. As a future child and adolescent psychiatrist, she is dedicated to helping foster resilience across young patients, their families, and communities. She is passionate about integrative care, systemic advocacy, and contributing to an equitable and compassionate mental health system.
Arianne Felicitas, DO
Arianne grew up in the DFW area and attended medical school at UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is excited to be part of the Los Angeles community now. She was drawn to child and adolescent psychiatry because of the opportunity to provide early intervention that brings lasting impacts into adulthood. Her interests within the field include community psychiatry, advocacy, and transitional age youth. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting museums, exploring the city, dancing, and spending time with her chihuahua mix, Rudy.
Niyolda ‘Niya’ Larios, MD
Niya Larios is a Charles Drew CAP Fellow. Her interests in psychiatry include the experience of “third culture kids, ” Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT) psychotherapy, personality disorders, neurodivergence, and psychoeducation. A Los Angeles native, she is interested in writing, cooking world cuisine, gardening, and playing board and video games with her family.
Maxwell Okunola, MD
Dr. Maxwell Okunola completed his adult psychiatry residency training at Charles R. Drew University, and is now continuing as a first year Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at CDU. He attended University of Miami for Undergrad, and Morehouse School of Medicine for medical school. Dr. Okunola enjoys the continuity of outpatient care and envisions pursuing private practice post-fellowship. Dr. Okunola is passionate about understanding the intersection of biology, psychology, medicine, and spirituality in understanding human behavior.
Year 2 Fellows
Jasmine Partida, MD
Jasmine completed medical school in Chicago, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is passionate about working with underserved communities and committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care that positively impacts the lives of children and families.
Howard Cheung, MD
Howard Cheung is a CAP-1 fellow who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley and graduated from Ross University School of Medicine. He is deeply committed to promoting mental health and wellness for both his patients and fellow healthcare providers. His interest in child mental health began while teaching second graders at an underserved elementary school during college. Outside of training, Howard enjoys exploring Los Angeles and is always happy to recommend new places to eat.
