Applications for the EDGE-PA 2027 Cohort are now open.

Application Window: July 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026
Program Start Date: January 2027
Program End Date: November 2027

Our History and Evolution

Founded in 2021 by Dr. Lucy W. Kibe, the EDGE-PA pilot program began with a focused mission: to support Black men, a group historically underrepresented in the PA profession (). Its early success with the 2022鈥2024 cohorts demonstrated how targeted mentorship, application guidance, and community building can empower aspiring PAs.

In 2025, fueled by new partnerships and a broader vision, EDGE鈥慞A expanded its outreach to qualified applicants of all racial, ethnic, and gender identities, while preserving its core values of equity, access, and community impact.
